## Lyrics Lyrics are quite like pedal marks, they are unique in terms of how they structured. They can be applicable to single units in different voices, and in some cases in different voices on different staves. To make life easier, it was decided to make lyrics as attributes of units, and then by the context of how they declared, we can position them and add other elements to them if needed. Let's start with very basic example:

You can put lyrics under a certain stave. In order to do that, use following setting:
Vertical position of lyrics is always adjusted, but you can correct if you would like to:
`1 down` means that we moved lyrics on one interval between stave lines down. As you see, you set vertical correction for the first lyric, and all the following lyrics are corrected in the same way. If you only add vertical correction to lyric somewhere in the middle, all the previous lyrics will stay at the same positions and all the following lyrics will be adjusted like the corrected lyric. In the example below, you can see that we can set different vertical corrections to each lyric:
